Welcome To My Life!
“..noone ever lied straight to your face, noone ever stabbed you in the back! You might think I’m happy but…”
Err anyway! I’m finally making my “back home” update. Its been a week now since I returned from the States and 2 and a half weeks since I got back from Japan and everything is pretty normal and familiar. The recent heatwave is giving way to more traditional British summer conditions (ie. rain). I’ve hung out with friends and spent time with the immediate family. I am also now swamped with a tonne of boring but necessary crap, not exactly fun stuff but it will at least keep me busy, which is probably a good thing right now!!! My car needs insuring and taxing, I have to sort my student loan and arrange some accomodation for September and I really need a job of some sort for the summer. I’ve also gotta start getting into a regular gym routine, now that I don’t have Matt to organise me, and fit regular study spots in everyday, lest I wish to be flayed alive by Takako when I return to UCLan and find my Japanese unlearned!
So, this is my house! Or to be more accurate, my Mum’s house which I live in whilst not at University! My room sits above the garage and if you look closely you can see the 3rd place Judo trophy I won when I was 8 glistening in the window. We’ve lived here since I was 15, which is the longest I’ve lived at any 1 house! Fascinating, I’m sure!
And here are our cars! My brother’s shining, shimmering, brand new Ford Focus and my 14 year old, battle damaged Vauxhall Astra! Guess who the successful one is…!!! He also airbrushed the licence plates out of paranoia. Cautious one, is Christopher Moss…!
So thats where I live! Nuneaton is… ermm…. not the most thrilling of places, lets say, but I may add pics to future updates just for the novelty! Its as familiar and comfortable as it ever was, being back home, but in a way, its not really home anymore. More like a place I have a history, but not really a future, with! I feel now that I won’t truly feel at home again until I’ve got my own place. “Somewhere I Belong”, eh Sarv?
Well one more pic! This is my Dad’s house, in one of my favourite spots in the country, South Warwickshire! Its close to Stratford-Upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s birthplace, so it gets a lot of tourists! A lot of Japanese tourists no less…! For the geeks out there (CAlex!) South Warwickshire was also where J. R. R. Tolkien grew up! As a result he based The Shire largely on this area. I think his home village is not far from where my Dad lives… The nearby city of Birmingham is said to have inspired Isengard, because in Tolkien’s time its rapid industrialisation was threatening the local countryside! And the inhabitants are Orcs!!! Kidding! Kidding!!!
And on a teacher’s salary!!! Anyway, my Dad and his partner Juanita’s place, that we visited this past weekend! Here I am with my Dad and little half-brother, Richard!
So, still got a lot to do! My insurance is taken care of and my accomodation worries are being dealt with but I still need a job. I’m really looking forward to getting back into fencing again too. I find a good round of combat sport is often the best cure for my angst! Expect a lot of poser-y fencing stuff to appear on my Xanga in the future! Oh and note my sweet new banner! Matt designed and put it up for me, amidst all his heading to Japan as a JET stuff! Legend! Special thanks too to his sister, Beka, who helped me overcome my photo-posting woes by suggesting I paste them from photobucket! We beat the system! Hahaaaaa!
I love you, my friends, wherever you may be!
Peace Out! “..you don’t know what its like, what its like!!… “

“… im not gonna be OK…!”
i have a photobucket i use. then i just copy and paste the links into my xanga. it might not be ideal for you, but it’s something until you can get the normal stuff working again. im just too cheap to pay for premium.
YES! I am updated properly! Thanks Beka! Worked like a charm!
I’ve never heard of a Vauxhill Astra. I’m glad you got some pictures up, without having to pay.
That’s how we likes it. fo freee
Those are great pictures. Nice places you get to stay…nice car (if it runs nice and looks nice age is not a factor, is it?) Is that your brother’s car in front of your dad’s house?
yay Dave’s house! is that a Bug in the first pic? …no wait, that’d be Chris’s car, never mind me.
maybe we should start a ‘post pics of your house/home’ meme…
also, SUMMER (?!), and you’re still wearing jeans.
does anyone ever call you mossemo? you know, like the brand mossimo, but moss-emo instead? i know, it’s horrible, but i thought it had to have happened at some point.
they do now >:)
G’morning, Bekaboo!
oops!!! I guess I should say good morning to Dave! I thought I was on Beka’s xanga!
GOOD MORNING (GOOD EVENING!) DAVE!
yes, good day, david!
she’s been too busy with the boys!
…hmmm Cass is evil….?
I um what now?
Oi, you ! I’m commenting on your blog… it’s very mossyish isn’t it. Anyway, I love the car and the houses, though wait till you see my car when I have it, and my house while we’re at it, darn I’m gonna have to put up pics, drats…
You know what this post needs?
A PANDA ATTACK!! ROAR PANDAS!!
hello, david. mmmm yes, always busy with the boys. i am a full time boy chaser.
i hope you are well. xoxoxo
Out of fear of receiveing the wrath of the Emo-Moss i’m going to comment *cowers*. yeah what can i say other than i’m one of mossatudes friends from good ol’ Nuneaton… you gailed to mention the scarey freaky-deaky people like Milage, but hey-ho. Yeah cool blow and all that – i’m useless at commenting without writing a full essay so i’m gonna stop now. Keep it real homes!

gah stupid typos… you wouldnt beleive that my job entails 99% typing accuracy would ya?? so you’ll just have to edit the mistakes for me.
l8rs Dawg!
Naaah! I’ll leave your typos…! I’m avoiding talking too much about Nuneaton for obvious reasons, though (it sucks!) I’ll introduce you properly next post!
Wow, I came in late! But anyway, glad to see a piece of your home(s), Dave! Hope England is treating you well. Have to say, your dad’s house… is impressive. Quite impressive.
OMG!!
Mario is here!
Good post. I wish I had a car. Or a driver’s license. But cars cost money. And stuff.
I wish my mom had a house.
But staying in the computer room is sweet, I have three computers to keep me company as I sleep on the camping matt between the chairs. It’s like camping, but in a room. With computers. Sweet.
Yes Cass, of course he’s wearing jeans. Season doesn’t matter, real men don’t wear shorts. Ok, thats just an excuse cos I got chicken legs but i wanna retain my manliness…
anyway, great to see your house (i won’t say home because its a touchy matter with all of us atm. or maybe just us rather emo ppl… ). i will do the same, and show you some pics of Oz where we ride kangaroos to work and wrestle crocs in our spare time. If you were an aussie your 3rd place judo trophy would have been won against a croc maybe… ^_^
Sarv – you should say that to my Dad. season doesn’t matter, he’s always wearing Stubbies.
I’ve said it before, but maybe we should start a ‘pic-of-your-house’ meme. I’m game if you guys are.
CAlex – sounds like you’ve got the set-up happening.
I can’t honetesly remember seeing the moss in shorts and i’ve known him for like 15 years. Shorts are only nesscessary outside of the U.K – coz us pommies are too white for shorts muwahah
Dave, can you update again? I need some good reading. Post more pictures too. I like looking at the pictures.
i am not easily offended and you are way too kind to ever offend me anyway.
izzz all goot! hope everything is good in your world. smile!
xoxo
yeah, he said there’s be an update soon… hayaku shiro ne!
no shorts in 15 years… well, when he comes to Australia he’ll just have to get used to them. *nods*
*CAlex sense tingling*
Oi~
Anyone dissing shorts?
Excluding the two months of winter, I think I wore pants twice during the year in Japan. You know, for the entrance ceremonies.
Hiding my beautiful hairy legs from the public would be a crime, ne?
Hmm.. Or maybe I just need the extra ventilation is the humid heat of Nagoya…
Or maybe I just like shorts.
But not the hotpants thing. Thats.. Disturbing.
Shorts that go to the knees please.
Nice.
well, they may not be shorts, but his jeans are at least air conditioned…
thanks for the sympathy. sympathy is good…and i am sorry that you also are missing peoples.
